1. Interpretation and Definitions
1.1 Interpretation
The words whose initial letters are capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

- Company (referred to as “JQC Labs”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) refers to JQC Labs.
- Country refers to Connecticut, United States.
- Device means any device that can access the Service such as a computer, cell phone, or digital tablet.
- Service refers to MyInsuranceCosts and all content, tools, calculators, estimators, simulators, and functionality made available through it.

- User Content means any information, inputs, data, values, or other materials You submit or enter while using the Service.
2. Scope of These Terms

The Service provides general informational and educational content, tools, calculators, estimators, and decision-support resources related to insurance costs, risk, deductibles, coverage structures, and cash exposure.
The Service does not provide insurance advice, financial advice, legal advice, tax advice, medical advice, or healthcare advice. You are solely responsible for how you use the Service and for any decisions you make based on information or outputs obtained from the Service.
JQC Labs makes no guarantees regarding outcomes, accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any information or outputs provided by the Service.
6. Not an Insurer, Broker, or Claims Administrator
MyInsuranceCosts is not an insurance company, insurance agency, insurance broker, claims administrator, or underwriting entity.
The Service does not:
- Provide insurance quotes or sell insurance policies
- Make underwriting, eligibility, or coverage determinations
- Process, approve, deny, or manage insurance claims
- Access or interact with insurance carrier systems
Any references to insurance scenarios, premiums, deductibles, claims, or coverage outcomes are illustrative and educational only.
7. Service Availability; Changes; Discontinuation
We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at any particular time, uninterrupted, or error-free.
8. User Conduct and Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service in any way that:
- Violates any applicable law or regulation
- Attempts to represent outputs as insurance advice or professional guidance
- Uses outputs for underwriting, eligibility, or claim determinations
- Interferes with or disrupts the Service or its infrastructure
- Introduces malware or harmful code
- Scrapes, harvests, or automates access to the Service at scale
- Reverse engineers or attempts to derive underlying algorithms except as permitted by law
9. User Content and Inputs
9.1 Responsibility for User Inputs
You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of any User Content you submit.
9.2 Processing of Inputs
User inputs are processed transiently to generate outputs and are not intentionally stored or associated with individual users.
9.3 No Confidentiality; Prohibited Data
Do not submit confidential or sensitive information through the Service. User Content is treated as non-confidential.
You must not submit:
- Social Security numbers or government-issued identification numbers
- Insurance policy numbers or insurance claim numbers
- Medical records or protected health information (PHI)
- Financial account or login credentials
10. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, functionality, and design are the exclusive property of JQC Labs and its licensors.
10.2 Limited License
JQC Labs grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal or internal informational use.

Any feedback you provide may be used by JQC Labs without restriction or compensation.
11. Advertising and Affiliate Content

Advertising does not constitute endorsement or recommendation of any third-party product or service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JQC Labs shall not be liable for any damages arising out of or related to your use of or reliance on the Service.
Where no fees have been paid for use of the Service, JQC Labs shall have no liability of any kind.
If liability is imposed notwithstanding the foregoing, liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JQC Labs from any claims arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
15. Force Majeure
JQC Labs shall not be liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
16. Termination
We may terminate or suspend access to the Service at any time, without notice or liability.
17. Relationship of the Parties
Your use of the Service does not create a client, professional, partnership, employment, or agency relationship.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
19. Venue and Jurisdiction
Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut.
20. Severability and Waiver
If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
